As a boy I dreamed of becoming an astrophysicist. My desire was to understand how the universe was born, how it works and how it will end... Until an unexpected meeting.  In a summer evening I was attracted to Tom Hooper’s Les Misérables. From the next day I started talking about it to anyone I met, forcing all my friends to watch it and watching that film myself many, many times. Almost every day.

Hugo Constellation is a solo of writings, thoughts and music in four movements, one finale and one finale ultimo. It is the unsolved interlacing of live forms that I have experienced in my body or in the bodies of fellow workers: concert, narration, conference, musical theatre.

On stage, one subject only. Along with me, a microphone that amplifies Hugo’s words as an opaque presence, distant and at the same time omnipresent. The space of action is to make a single voice the voice of many, intertwining words, thoughts and images, evoking stars of the past and dreams of the future. The words are mixed without claiming an author but collectively constructing a possible constellation. Thus lives in me every person, place and word that I have desired. Wishing, I came out of myself countless times. An enlargement. Connection. Tension. Multiplication. Diffraction.
