1979. Giorgio Manganelli publishes Centuria: One Hundred Ouroboric Novels, «an artifice, an artifact of uncertain and ironically fatal destination. The artifice contains, ad infinitum, other artifices; a metallically ingenious proposition conceals a buzzing metaphor; dissecting it, we will set in freedom exact hard words, wedged of lucid phonemes. In the body of the proposition, the words are arranged with disordered rigor, like abstract ceremonial dancers». CENTO is a reading and sound device in which words and notes play to chase, answer and open questions. Four numbers from Centuria put on the game table love, death, boredom, cosmos and destiny. Four musical tracks mark the rhythmic time of the story and the time of the performance.
